Mon 29 July: After an intense weekend of motorsport, Monday is all about reflecting on the action and amplifying the highlights across our digital platforms. The British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) races were filled with nail-biting moments as Tom Ingram left the North Yorkshire circuit Croft as championship leader.
Also racing at the weekend was Australian driver Pat Heuzenroeder as the GB3 Championship returned to British soil at Silverstone. The team curated a series of content that documented the entire weekend for the next episode of Pat’s ‘Racing Kelpie’ vlog, plus additional social media content to be rolled out post-event.
For the BTCC, we highlighted key overtakes, standout performances, and, of course, the current standings. Our content emphasised the fierce competition, giving fans and followers a taste of the on-track drama.
Tue 30 July: Our Managing Director, Matt Bishop, tells the story of Luigi Musso for his weekly column for Motor Sport. Musso’s career, marked by both brilliance and tragedy, provided a sobering contrast to the often glamorous world of racing. Matt looks at the Italian’s impact on Formula 1, from his singular victory to the debts he owed the Mafia. Musso was an intriguing but ‘troubled soul’ who succumbed to his injuries in 1958.
Wednesday 31 July: The final day of the month is one of excitement as we work with our client, the BTCC, to announce a strengthened partnership between Un-Limited Motorsport and Duckhams Racing. We craft the announcement to ensure it captures the enthusiasm and ambition of both outfits. It is rolled out across the BTCC’s channels and garners significant attention as the team announces its plans for a second car on the grid for 2025.
Thursday 1 August: We celebrate the achievements of athletes Megan Havers and Harry Hepworth, who had memorable experiences this week at the Olympics. Both are members of the EventR 11 – a group of inspirational Team GB athletes whom our client EventR – the app designed by a team of software developers led by the former Formula 1 team principal Otmar Szafnauer to simplify team travel – is wishing ‘good luck’ at this summer’s Games.
Megan Havers made her Olympic debut in Archery. Competing on the world’s biggest stage at the age of 16, Megan showcased her potential and composure, even though she didn’t progress to the medal rounds. Despite the challenges of facing seasoned competitors, Megan’s performance was commendable for a debutante. She expressed how the experience was invaluable for her growth as an athlete and how it has fuelled her ambition for future competitions.
Harry Hepworth, competing in Gymnastics, delivered a stunning performance at the start of the Men’s Vault competition. Harry’s routine was a testament to his hard work and dedication after being diagnosed with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease – halting the growth of the hip bone – at the age of five.
Friday 2 August: As the week comes to a close, our focus shifts to the upcoming BTCC round at Knockhill, Scotland (10-11 August). Friday is all about logistics, strategy, and ensuring that everything is in place for a smooth and successful weekend.
We coordinate with the teams on milestones, finalise travel arrangements, and begin creating content to build anticipation for the weekend. Knockhill is known for its challenging track and unpredictable weather, so we plan for all eventualities at what is always a great event.
