Diagonal Comms, the communications and content agency founded this year by experienced motorsport comms chief Matt Bishop, today announces a brand-new partnership with Prodrive – the world-leading motorsport and advanced technology business.
As Prodrive celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024, Diagonal Comms will help propel the company to centre stage by shouting about the amazing innovations and products that Prodrive design, develop, and produce.
A UK business success story, Prodrive’s culture is founded in motorsport, but has grown to include specific business divisions of Advanced Technology, Composites, and the company Brand&, which produces high-performance apparel and accessories. Prodrive helps businesses in the automotive, aerospace, mobility and marine sectors create innovative engineering solutions, and provides guidance and start-up business partnerships to engineering entrepreneurs via its Ventures division.
Diagonal Comms will strive to increase Prodrive’s brand recognition by celebrating the dedication and talent of the 550 employees who work across the company’s headquarters in Banbury, Oxfordshire, and Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire, via mainstream media coverage, content creation, digital marketing, and social media management.
Prodrive is led by its Chairman, David Richards CBE, who spent eight years as a professional rally co-driver and became British and Scandinavian champion. Since 1983, Prodrive has won six FIA World Rally titles, six Le Mans titles, four British Touring Car titles, and 11 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) titles.

Matt Bishop (Managing Director, Diagonal Comms) said:
“I can hardly believe that next year will mark 40 years since the founding of Prodrive. On the other hand, the company has packed an enormous amount of race and rally-winning work into those four decades. Its Chairman, David Richards, has been driving that success since the outset but, knowing him as I do, I am sure that his focus is firmly set on future growth, not past glories. Indeed, Prodrive now operates extensively outside motorsport – its work encompasses high-tech engineering in the automotive, aerospace, marine, and defence sectors. That being the case, although we at Diagonal Comms are absolutely delighted to have been chosen to devise and manage Prodrive’s comms, PR, social media, content creation, and digital marketing activity in respect of such an impressive anniversary, we plan also to communicate widely David’s vision for the future of the company, which we feel certain will be every bit as exciting and successful as it will be innovative and ground-breaking.”
David Richards (Chairman, Prodrive)
David Richards (Chairman, Prodrive) said:
“I’ve known Matt for many years but never had the occasion to work with him until he recently established his new agency, Diagonal Comms. Prodrive’s 40th anniversary provides us with an ideal opportunity to engage with Diagonal Comms and form a relationship that I hope will last for many years to come.”
